Overall his seizures seem to be better. Last week, he had almost three days in a row with no tonic seizures. His drop attacks are still present and haven't changed much. Because we have been decreasing medication again, he has had his meltdown moments more regularly. As the week goes on though, you can tell he levels out some. We will be glad to stop the medicine and let him level out to a new normal.
The dieticians are completely certified for the keto so now they are just waiting on the paperwork/red tape for the clinic and hospital. Of course, no one ever knows how long that will take. :)
We would like to pinpoint the reason for the balance issues and tremors but we will probably wait until after starting the keto to see if seizures or medications change. Those are the most obvious reasons for those issues. Hopefully, if we can eliminate both seizures and medication (which is what we are praying for) we will eliminate both tremors and balance issues.
Wednesday, Joyanna will be 2, so tonight we are having a little celebration with some family here in OKC. Philip is just as excited about Joyanna's Happy Birthday as she is. I'm not sure he doesn't think it's his Happy Birthday again. :) Hope you have a lovely spring week and get to enjoy the outdoors a little. We plan to go outside in the backyard in the afternoons a little more this week. My kids are loving that since the weather is warmer now.
