Speaking of good days, she had another opportunity to take some steps yesterday at school. The physical therapist adapted a gait trainer to work for Joy. She texted me yesterday after Joy’s physical therapy session and said she walked 150 feet. She has to be fully supported and the PT guides the walker but she takes the steps all by herself. It’s incredible to see her trying so hard.
Ethan is now 5. He had a great birthday. The day before his birthday he was being silly and talking about his letters. He said to me, “I’m a V.” I told him that actually in another way to write numbers, V means 5 so on his birthday he would be a V. He proceeded to go through his birthday telling everyone he was a V. It was hilarious. Most people just looked with confusion until we explained or it dawned upon them.
Monday marked 6 months since Philip went to heaven. We took time to go out to the cemetery and replace broken pinwheels with new ones. Those little times to reflect and grieve are healing, whether they come at the cemetery or in the middle of the night. I’m encouraged to look back and see God’s hands in little and big things that have helped us to continue with his purposes for us. Praise the Lord!
Trust His Heart
Babbie Mason
All things work for our good
Though sometimes we don't see
How they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blind us to the truth
Our Father knows what's best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway grows dim
And you just don't see Him,
Remember you're never alone
Chorus
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart
He sees the master plan
And he holds our future in His hand,
So don't live as those who have no hope,
All our hope is found in Him
We see the present clearly
But He sees the first and the last
And like a tapestry He's weaving you and me,
To someday be just like Him
Chorus
He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you
Chorus
