Her 106th infusion yesterday went just fine. (That’s my best calculation though I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m off by one or two.) It went pretty normally with some Little Bear videos and a nap. Our normal nurse was on vacation so we missed her but it went pretty uneventfully and for that I am glad. We still have great care at the Jimmy Everest Center at OU Children’s.
Today, I am working to figure out how to access programs through OKCPS online portal that will help Joy use her switch until school time. We’ll see what happens. The weeks pass so quickly and I would like to get some time in this week. She will return to school on August 9th and I know it will be here when we blink.
Ethan admitted to me the other day that he misses school. WHAT!!!! Little personal victory! He said, I like learning new things. We’ve ordered the materials for homeschooling for this year but they haven’t arrived yet. He is looking forward to receiving them and so am I. But there is still some summer to enjoy as well.
Let me leave you with this song. Sometimes it’s the simplest truths that bring the sweetest rest!
He’s Able
He’s able, He’s able,
I know He’s able,
I know my Lord is able
To carry me through.
(Repeat)
He healed the broken-hearted
And set the captive free,
He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see.
He’s able, He’s able,
I know He’s able,
I know my Lord is able
To carry me through.
