We didn’t know until this morning so we had made plans for childcare for Ethan and I was prepared for a day at the hospital. When plans change, its not always easy. In fact, I’m sure that is what causes me (and most everyone probably) the most problem on a daily basis. We have an expectation of something and when it changes out of our control, we don’t know how to transition to the change very quickly. It’s so…human. The thing is, when we’re convinced that God is sovereign, we can more easily accept those changes. He knew what would really happen all along. Perhaps He wants to accomplish something through it, even if it’s something small.
Joyanna did get her new wheelchair last Monday. The first thing to do is make all the adjustments to make it fit her perfectly. The service rep helped us with most of those when he delivered it but there are always a few you just have to figure out through time. Thankfully, Ben is really great at that kind of stuff. We have most things adjusted now. She is growing so fast though, we might have to make more adjustments soon. It is much better support for her and we can recline her or sit her up when she feels strong and ready to hold her head up. We like it.
I’ll need to go now. When I’m at home, there are so many things to be done but I wanted to update a little bit.
Please pray for the kids tomorrow—for strength and grace to be out all day, especially Philip. He hasn’t experienced the cold since December 19 or been in his wheelchair for that long, etc. It will be good to get all these things done for him at one time though. We would all like to get good rest tonight. Thanks for praying!
