We had a wonderful time over the weekend with Ben's brother, Andrew and his family. His children were so helpful and had several questions trying to understand all they could about Philip and Joyanna. We were glad to try to explain and really each time we do that it helps us to understand it better ourselves. We were able to attend the church plant the Lord has called him to pastor in Suffolk, VA. It is exciting to anticipate what God will do through the people there.
We spent the day yesterday traveling with Ben's oldest brother, Billy and family who will be in NY with us for Christmas. We got to see one of the modern engineering marvels, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. It's a series of bridges with tunnels in between that lie on the floor of the bay so large ships can sail into the bay. It's so interesting to think that as you're passing through the tunnel, all that water and those ships are over your head. The bridges and tunnels span over 17 miles of the bay! Impressive! We read an article from National Geographic about the building of it before we saw it today and it made it so much better to appreciate it. I also got to add another state to the list of those I've been in: Delaware.
Philip and I are still dealing with congestion. Please pray it clears up. Otherwise we're all doing pretty well for having traveled halfway across the country.
