I'm sure most of you have a few extra things on your schedule these days. We enjoy all the activities but we are trying to make sure we don't press Philip too much. Everything is pretty much the same. He's not seizure free but having less. He hasn't made a lot of progress but hasnt significantly declined either. We were able to raise his calories slightly when we added the MCT oil so he is a little less hungry and therefore, a little happier.
Once the two little ones go to bed each night, I have been reading a book just to Philip. I can't do it every night but most nights. When we do, he really enjoys it. I try to pick some of his old favorites in "paper" books (not board books) since he can't do those by himself. He really enjoyed The Little Engine That Could last night. He even tried to say I think I can. No words besides the first "I" came out but he was trying.
Our pastor preached a very encouraging message last night about receiving God's grace in your daily situations. The text was I Peter 5:5, specifically "God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." Here's the phrase he used: "Get in your place, and God will give grace." It has really encouraged me already. I needed to quit thinking I knew better than God (not my place) and get in my place to receive grace.
Thanks for praying for us!
