Ethan has been sick for the last few days. I think it was just a regular respiratory virus but it may have spread to an ear infection now. It is so interesting to have a child that can tell us what hurts, which ear—left or right, and if he’s feeling better. We’ve never had that before. Thankfully, the other two haven’t had any signs of catching the virus.
Next week, we’re planning to take a vacation week away. My dad and brother are preaching at a camp near Lake Eufaula here in Oklahoma. Friends are allowing us to stay in their trailer near the lake so we can see our family throughout the week. We’re excited to go but remember to pray for the packing, checking and rechecking so we get all supplies and equipment needed for the week away. That’s just the day or two before we go, so once we’re on our way or there, we’ll be great!
This song has really ministered to my heart lately.
I Can Trust Jesus
By Gerald Crabb
God picked up a sparrow that could no longer fly
He brushed off its wounds and then watched it soar into the sky
If He’s mindful of creation, on this I can depend
I am His child and I can place all my trust in Him
Chorus
I can trust Jesus, I can trust Jesus
He never once has failed to meet my needs
He is my strong tower, the strength in my weakest hour
I can trust Jesus, He takes care of me
I have prayed some prayers and felt they never were heard
But I held to God’s hand and kept right on trusting in His word
My wants and God’s desires don’t always agree
But I lean on His will for He always knows what’s best for me.
