I wanted to share last night but moving back home was enough to keep me busy until late. I can’t get over how much space they made in the main entry of the bathroom. It all looks so beautiful! We are so blessed. Almost every time I have passed by the bathroom today (which is quite a few times), I have had to step in and just make sure it’s real—take it all in again!
Ethan appreciates the difference. He woke up from his nap today and I was putting some things away in the bathroom cabinet. He walked in and said, “This is the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen!” I asked him to repeat it because I wasn’t sure if that was what he said but he said it again. Definitely LOL! We should take him in one of the bathrooms at a sports stadium.
We did make some changes to both Joyanna and Philip’s medicine regimen. Primarily, they switched to dosing three times a day. We tried a few months ago to move Philip’s medicines to twice a day for simplicity but he just couldn’t go the full 12 hours during the day without his tremors and small seizures increasing considerably in the last couple of hours before his next dose. We made some very small adjustments to the quantity they are taking. Joyanna has responded well. Even her Sunday School teacher commented on her energy level and the fact that she was singing more words to the songs on Sunday. The jury is still out on Philip. We didn’t make his change until the weekend and so he is still in the transition stage. We have some decisions to make still concerning the times his medicine is given. Please pray we figure this out in the next couple of days.
We’re so glad to be home. We’re thrilled to have a new bathroom. We can’t thank Make-A-Wish, the contractors, or the sponsor enough for the special gift they’ve given us.
