Philip had an appointment with his pediatrician on Wednesday. We tweaked his allergy medicine a little, made decisions about a couple other medicines, and discussed a workable feeding plan. Then, the doctor prescribed a sleep aid and made suggestions about melatonin use, all which we have put in place. The first night went well. Philip slept much more than he usually does. Last night, not so great! He was awake again at various times and very tired this morning. Please pray we can work with his body and brain and get this back to the right side up. He is back in a time where he is very quiet and somewhat shaky. We haven't gotten many smiles out of him lately. But given his ups and downs, we'll probably see smiles again.
My husband's sister and her husband, Andrew and Abigail, are keeping Philip next week, with help from my sister and other close friends. We were going to take Philip to their house to stay but it turns out they have plumbing issues at their house and have moved over to our house for a little bit. Not a situation you really want to deal with at anytime but it does mean Philip gets to stay at home and continue to ride the bus to school next week which he will enjoy. Please pray for me as I leave him in OKC for the next 6 days. I am confident I am leaving him in good hands and he will probably have way more fun than if he went, but it's still hard for me to leave him.
You can check in on our trip. We'll try to post some things as the week progresses.
May the Lord bless all of you who have prayed for us, given of your time or money, or just encouraged us with a smile.
