It seems that his tonic seizures have changed to all happening in the evening and if we have one then we usually have 6 or 7. Otherwise, he has a tonic seizure-free day.
I have found one thing that I can usually do to get a smile out of Philip even when we're having a meltdown which is pretty often these days. I'll puff out my cheeks and move his hands to deflate my cheeks, blowing air into his face. He pretty regularly thinks that's funny. It's nice to have something to try and diffuse the situation and help him be happy. I've been doing a lot of holding and rocking these days to help him calm down. On the other hand, he's had a few moments that are more like the old Philip, excited and waving his hands like he used to. We have lots of ups and downs. I guess most of us have lots of ups and downs but with Philip, they're just more pronounced.
We take each day as it comes. We still thank the Lord for His grace for each day. He is so good to us.
