Our prayer for all those we crossed paths with today is that they can see in our lives how wonderful our God and His strength is. These are people we would not have met if not for the journey we are on.
Today, we were able to enjoy a neat experience. We found out a few weeks ago that a business here in OKC had chosen to sponsor Joyanna's Make-A-Wish trip. Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) does quite a bit of charitable giving at this time of year and Make-A-Wish is one of the regular recipients. They invited us to join them for a luncheon with several of the other recipients and some of their employees. It was catered by Swadley's BBQ. Yum! They greeted us so warmly, had Christmas gifts for all three kids, let us go through the food line first and even mentioned they had read a little about us on the blog. I'm always humbled when our paths get to cross even more caring people. We feel truly grateful for the wonderful week they allowed us to have because of their giving. Becca Giles from Make-A-Wish was also there and it was good to meet another team member from Make-A-Wish. Joyanna sat in her lap through much of the introductions and looked at pictures on Ben's phone. I thought that was so sweet for someone we had just met today.
