We have Vacation Bible School this week at SWBC. Our VBS is in the morning so I missed today due to the infusion. I have been helping wherever possible the last two days and will finish out the week helping hopefully. Ethan is excited about VBS. There’s the penny march—boys against girls—and the skits with the good guy and the bad guy and the day saved by Bibleman. One of my favorite parts is Bible Bear. He is a weight balanced toy on a unicycle that glides down a guide wire from the balcony to the platform. I’ve been to a lot of VBS’s and have never seen anything like Bible Bear. He’s been a part of the SWBC VBS for a loooong time, so it’s a unique fun part. Ben has been driving a bus as a sub driver for the week. I’m so thankful to be able to be a part as Joy is staying at TCC. I don’t know that I would be able to come at all if she was at home. It would be a lot for her every day, though I know she would love the singing.
With the remaining days of June, we will take a few day trips on Route 66 and head to SE Oklahoma to see my parents while my dad preaches a camp there. We’re looking forward to some good family time. Then, we are excited to welcome Joy back home on July 1.
