Those of you who check up on us often have probably noticed a few changes to the blog. I want to explain some of these.
Most notably, the name has changed. It was obvious with Joyanna's diagnosis that we couldn't just call the blog Philip's Story anymore. That's also why the change in the website address. Ben and I discussed what to call the blog now that it will detail more of our family's journey. From the time that Ben and I got married the Lord has really used Psalm 18:30, "As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him." We still feel the same about this verse as we did when we were first married. We decided to call the blog, "God's Way Is Perfect" to try to communicate that we still believe in His plan and purpose for our life. We don't want people to think we just picked this name because we are optimistic, hopeful people (although we do have hope in Jesus). We picked this name because no matter what we think, this verse in the Bible is true. God's Way is Perfect! Soon there will be a logo that will tie this title to Psalm 18:30.
Our updated family picture from this June was added to the Our Family tab.
We've also added tabs that specifically tell Philip and Joyanna's stories. These will not be updated regularly. This is mainly for newcomers to the site who don't know the background story for our precious children. The blog section/main page will continue to have current updates on Philip and Joyanna and the family.
We've added a tab for "Encouraging Words." The Lord has used so many of you to encourage us through messages. We wanted to allow visitors to the site to add a comment or read comments by others. We feel there are so many of you who are walking the journey with us and praying for us diligently, that we would like you to have the opportunity to be encouraged by what the Lord is doing and saying through others.
The contact option is still available if you would like to send us a personal message that is not displayed publicly on the website. We will not publish the messages that are sent to us using that option.
Finally, the blog is now searchable by search engines. At first, when we created the blog, everything was so uncertain with Philip that we chose to restrict search engines. Now that we have a diagnosis for both kids and have more and more people hearing their story, we decided to make it easier to find us if someone only has our names or Philip's name. It may not be easy to find by search engine. Some search engines can't find it at all when we've tried, even with multiple keywords. Some pull it up immediately.
Feel free to pass the blog address along but of course, now give out the address: thelogues.weebly.com. We'll leave the other site up for a while so those who visit can be redirected here.
Thanks for praying for us! Your prayers make a difference!!!!!!
