Although I said we are into colder weather, today was a beautiful day. The kids went out for about an hour in the afternoon in the back yard and enjoyed the outdoors. You know this time of year, you may not see the outdoors again until March. Ethan particularly enjoyed picking up the leaves and crunching them then letting them rain down from his fingers. I even took Philip out in his chair to enjoy some late afternoon sunshine. He seemed to enjoy it.
We put up our tree today. We'll be leaving in a little over a week so I was hesitant to get everything out and put it together but I decided that I should take the time to enjoy it with my little ones. I'm thinking I won't regret it. We didn't put everything out for decorations that we normally do but they did have fun "helping" me. Joyanna held the lights for me while I strung them on which was actually a great help. Then she caught on to the concept of hanging ornaments although it was hard to manage with her struggle with fine motor skills. It was fun anyway. She loved looking at each one as we hung most of them up together. Ethan only did one or two and then was off for bigger adventures. The kids especially love the 1st Christmas ornaments with their baby pictures. I hung them all in the same place and at their level so they can enjoy looking at them.
I added some pictures to the picture tab. Time passes so quickly and I didn't realize we hadn't added any there for a while.
I've been reminded recently to take time in this busy season to walk with the Lord in a special way. I hope you can do so as well. I'm sure we'll all find more joy with our family and friends if we keep His Word in focus.
Thanks for praying!
