This is the update from now (March 2024)
With thankfulness, I can report that Joyanna has continued to be calm despite "neurologic noise" continuing to change. We have made one tiny adjustment to medicine recently but other than that, things are relatively the same. In late January, she got to move into a newly-remodeled unit at Bethany Children's. It is a nice space with much more storage for her things. We are enjoying it. She is in a quiet corner in her unit and her provider seems to think it has been a good thing for her. With this new space, air filtration and new windows have lessened the consideration of allergies so we may not have to deal with that this year--maybe it was causing some of the increased secretions and lower oxygen saturation levels of last year. Only time will tell!
We appreciate your prayers for our family! God is still answering and giving us opportunities to serve Him-- investing in students at the Bible college, meeting and speaking with others who are in a hard journey, and teaching and training our own son to serve the Lord.
I hope you enjoy spring wherever you are! God is good!
